Sta. Rita Aplaya(Community Clean-Up)

Sta. Rita Aplaya(Community Clean-Up)

The surroundings in Sta. Rita Aplaya is very clean and also the people there were very friendly. They maintain the cleanliness of the sea and the seashore. They greet the visitors politely and nicely. They welcome each visitor warmly.

It was my first time going there. I was very excited to go there and also nervous because I don’t know the behavior of the people there. When they said it is a coastal area I was so happy because I can see the sea and some ships because it’s near the Batangas Port. Then, Febuary 23, 2012 comes; it’s the day that our journey to Sta. Rita Aplaya starts.

We are preparing for our journey to Sta. Rita Aplaya in the classroom. Before the P.A. started we buy some snacks, drinks and candies in the canteen. After the P.A. sang we fall in line and go to the parking lot near the Sentrum then we were assigned by group then we went to our assigned jeepney.

We started our journey to Sta. Rita Aplaya. When we leave our school we prayed. The boys played songs while we’re on the jeepney. A little while we ate our snacks and we shared our snacks with each other.

After an hour we arrived there and then started the community clean-up. We started to go to the seashore to clean after the introduction of the barangay official. When we went there we saw the blue sea and some little crabs hiding in the sand. We also saw ships on the sea and some small boats and also people swimming on the sea.

After that clean-up we started to interact with the fisherman. We searched for an available fisherman whom we could interview. After that we started to share our learning to the fisherman and we also asked him about his experiences. After the sharing we gave him a gift as assign of thank you. Then we go back to covered court to eat our lunch and after that we go back to our school.

We should always clean our surroundings just like the people in Sta. Rita Aplaya. From the start I’ve noticed that there surrounding is clean and the people there are very disciplined.
